Checking car titles

“Title loan” company is refusing to provide me with loan docs. Tennessee offers an online service through the state website which allows you to pull vehicle title information. It is not the exact title but it gives you all the information you need. There is a one time set up charge of 50 bucks or so and then they charge $2 per vehicle search after that. You need either the vin number or the vehicle’s tag number. I just used it yesterday to determine that a couple would have to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy because the “lien” had never been recorded.
