Managing expectations

I pick my clients and do not let them pick me. There are too many people who really need bankruptcy help and will work to make it happen than to deal with those who refuse to comply with my program. If they are in a Ch 7 and want to hold onto real estate property that isn’t profitable, I see that as a red flag, an aspect of reality I need to inform them about. My goal is to cause change that makes my clients financially smarter and stronger. Sometimes we use bankruptcy as a tool to reach that goal. Therefore, my advice typically extends beyond whether to file or what chapter to file.
